A disjointed, unappealing and unrealistic read with no likable characters.  

"The Road" by Cormac McCarthy

The majority of the group felt they wanted to know what had happened for the world to be in the situation it was in and also felt it had no beginning or end.

Some of the group shed a tear at the end and thought it was a brilliant but bleak story.
